WEBB Traders is looking for a final-year student to join our Risk team. You’ll play a role in elevating our risk management function to the next level. Collaborating on varied projects, you’ll develop world-class risk tools that identify weaknesses and opportunities, keeping the company safe while transforming controls into a strategic advantage.

Choose your challenge
Besides taking part in the day-to-day tasks of the team, you’ll work on a dedicated project with the support of your mentor. You will build Python tooling for:
Analysis
Risk management
Visualisation
Your role
Help traders make better risk-adjusted trading decisions
Analyse and learn from past incidents in order to prevent market/operational losses
Build and improve risk monitoring and limit systems and tactical toolings
Create and improve risk processes and policies
Communicate in a timely and accurate manner Risk and performance indicators to relevant stakeholders like WEBB’s senior management and regulators
In addition to managing market and operational risks, you will also work on understanding automated trading risks, measuring regulatory capital requirements and modelling margin requirements
Job requirements
Who are you
You are in your final year of studies or have already graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields such as mathematics, physics, econometrics, quantitative finance, or data science
You have strong analytical skills
You can confidently work with Python and SQL to turn complex data into clear insights
You have a strong interest in risk management, equity derivatives, algorithmic trading, market making and IT
You are familiar with financial models
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written
