About us

WEBB Traders is looking for a data-driven risk manager in Amsterdam to take our company's risk management function to the next level. You will develop world-class risk tools that help identify weaknesses and opportunities. You ensure we keep the company safe, simultaneously elevating our controls into strategic edge.

Your role

• Build risk, finance operations and compliance dashboards

• Visualise risk, finance, operations and compliance data to relevant stakeholders

• Analyse complex business problems and propose solutions or enhancements

• Provide clear, timely updates on planning and delivery. Monitor and manage continuous process improvements, addressing outstanding issues

• Respond to ad hoc requests from stakeholders

Who are you?

• You are a data scientist who has a great affinity with algorithmic trading

• You are eager to drive change in a fast-paced environment

• Your mindset is on innovation and continuous improvement

• Your personality is characterised as down-to-earth, steadfast, firm, and your integrity is beyond reproach

• You have a compelling communication style and enjoy working closely with various stakeholders (traders, engineers, management board, clearing members)

• You show ownership to drive key firm-wide risk, finance, operations and compliance projects from initiation to completion

What you bring to WEBB

• You have 1-3 years of experience in a data scientist or risk analyst role

• You have a strong interest in equities, derivatives, commodities, algorithmic trading, high frequency trading, market making and risk management

• You have strong Python and SQL skills

• You possess a Master’s degree in e.g. mathematics, physics, econometrics, quantitative finance, data science and you have strong analytical skills

• You are fluent in English, both spoken and written
