The role

You'll be joining our SRE team, the backbone of our production environment. We work hand-in-hand with our in-house users - traders, risk managers, compliance officers, and back-office teams - to keep daily operations running smoothly. Our work spans acquiring and configuring hardware and software, monitoring system health and performance, fine-tuning setups, troubleshooting issues, and implementing robust fixes. But we don’t stop there! We’re constantly building smart tools to automate and simplify our tasks, boosting both our efficiency and the quality of our systems. With your engineering mindset and sharp eye for improvement, you’ll help us eliminate repetitive work, introduce lasting solutions, and evolve our production environment - laying the groundwork for WEBB to grow into a globally competitive trading firm.


What you'll do

  • Ensuring a smooth operation of our production environment; the hardware and software which is built both in-house and by third-party vendors

  • Frequent interactions with our users; answering questions and troubleshooting in case of issues, and understanding their drivers and needs

  • Strong collaboration with the development team in building high quality production solutions

  • Learning about the trading domain, our systems, and what is needed from an IT perspective to run a trading firm

  • Building tools in Python or C++ to increase the effectiveness of the team, as well as the performance and reliability of our production environment

Job requirements

What you bring to WEBB

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Experience: 0 to 2 years in a systems engineering or similar technical role

  • Technical knowledge: Proficient in networking, hardware, OS (Windows, Linux), and databases (PostgreSQL), with strong comfort using the command line.

  • Programming skills: Proficient in Python and Bash (bonus for C++ experience)

  • Learning mindset: Eager, curious, and quick to adapt to new technologies and challenges

  • Team-oriented: A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Problem-solving: Analytical thinker with creative solutions and a results-driven attitude

  • Simplicity focused: A keen eye for identifying and avoiding unnecessary complexity, always striving for clean, efficient solutions

  • Language skills: Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
