Job description

Who we are

WEBB Traders is a fast-growing, global proprietary trading company, driven by data and technology. We act as a market maker, using our own capital to trade on global stock and derivatives exchanges. By leveraging a large network of interdealer brokers and the latest advancements in electronic trading technology, we add liquidity to the financial markets specialized in cash equity and derivatives.

Since our very first trade in 2009, WEBB’s headquarters have been based in Amsterdam, nowadays supported by a strong presence in Paris. With our 70 employees of over 25 different nationalities, we are united in our great ambition to grow WEBB into a global leader in arbitrage and liquidity.

Join us to accelerate your career in the unique trading culture of openness, community and boundary-free entrepreneurship!

Do you manage high-performance IT infrastructure, keeping it lightning-fast, rock-solid, and always ahead of the curve?

Our Infrastructure engineers look after all physical IT equipment, Network, OS and office- level software as well as the tools used to manage these. As part of the team, you care first and foremost for the optimal performance of our trading infrastructure; high-end servers hosted in various data centers globally, close to each major exchange location, the workstations used by our traders, researchers, control staff and engineers, and the networks that interconnect them. Appreciating that the success of our trading heavily depends on the performance of our infrastructure, you work carefully and diligently to ensure a lean, mean and well-monitored environment.

Structure and consistency make you tick, and you take every opportunity to clean up and improve our infrastructure, facilitating more competitive trading as well as the further growth of our company as a whole.

Join us to power the speed, precision, and reliability that keep our trading ahead of the game.

Your work will mainly consist of

  • Rapidly learning the trading domain, our technology stack, and what it takes from an IT perspective to operate a competitive trading firm.

  • Ordering, installing, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting the full spectrum of our IT infrastructure — from trading floor workstations to high-performance server clusters.

  • Installing, configuring, and tuning operating systems (Linux and Windows), software, and custom tooling on workstations and servers.

  • Proactively building strong relationships with users to understand their business drivers, translating those needs into technical solutions, and collaborating with fellow engineers to deliver them.

  • Managing and coordinating with a variety of external suppliers and service providers.

  • Enhancing, automating, and expanding our monitoring, observability, and management tools to ensure maximum system uptime and performance.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement of processes, system architecture, and operational practices.
