As we continue to grow, we're launching our summer traineeship program, offering you the chance to gain hands-on experience on impactful projects. For eight exciting weeks, you’ll collaborate with our teams to tackle complex challenges and create innovative solutions that push our business forward. This immersive experience will equip you with industry insights, practical skills, and a solid foundation for your future career.

The Summer Traineeship runs from July 1st to August 22nd* and we’ll be hiring for two dynamic areas: Data Scientist - Financial Insights & Analytics, Data Scientist -  Operations Optimalization & Automation and Software Engineer - Technology & Innovation. Data Scientist - Financial Insights & Analytics

WEBB Traders is looking for a final year master student to join our Finance team. In this dynamic role, you’ll contribute to advancing our finance department, working on key initiatives that enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and uncover opportunities. You’ll help develop cutting edges financial tools that strengthen controls and transform them into a strategic advantage, ensuring the company’s continued success.

Choose your challenge 

Together with your mentor, you’ll work on a project besides taking part in the day-to-day tasks of the team. You will be building Python tooling for:

• Analysis

• Building an in-house historical finance database

• Creating real-time finance and treasury dashboards

Your role 

• Build finance operations dashboards

• Visualise finance data to relevant stakeholders

• Analyse complex business problems and propose solutions or enhancements

• Provide clear, timely updates on planning and delivery. Monitor and manage continuous process improvements, addressing outstanding issues

• Respond to ad hoc requests from stakeholders

Who are you 

• You’re in your last year of mathematics, physics, econometrics, quantitative finance, data science

• You have strong analytical skills

• You have a strong interest in equities, derivatives, commodities, algorithmic trading, high-frequency trading, market making and risk management

• You have great Python and SQL skills

• You are fluent in English, both spoken and written

4. In-depth interview with senior team members to evaluate your test results
